PORT ORCHARD - For the second time this year, 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' is in town. This time, an 11-year-old Port Orchard girl convinced ABC producers to build her family a new home. Jael Kirkwood even called others selected for the show to get their advice and asked Port Orchard's mayor to put in a good word for her.

When sump pump shuts off, everything mucks up

But, mostly, I want to say how truly super Dustin of Ahearn Electric was. He dealt so graciously with someone who was obviously at the end of her rope. He was calm and respectful and allowed me to vent without once taking it personally. It is a skill that is hard to learn but so valuable. He has it in spades. Even though I’m married to someone who can do electrical wiring, I know that should I ever need any electrical work, Ahearn and Dustin will be the first ones I contact.
